Lyt WorkShift (iOS app, bundle ID com.lspdev.lytworkshift)
Last updated: October 10, 2026
Lyt WorkShift (“we”, “us”) makes the Lyt WorkShift app, a tool for shift workers to track hours worked and money earned. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it is stored, and which third-party services receive data.
Summary
- We do not run servers that store your data, and we do not have an online account system.
- Everything you enter in the app (profile, shifts, pay and tax rates, photos, documents, settings, backups) is stored only on your device.
- The app shows ads through Google AdMob and reports crashes through Firebase Crashlytics. These Google services collect limited device and usage data, described below.
- We do not sell your personal information.
1. Information you enter (stored on your device only)
The app stores the following in a local database and in the app’s private storage on your device:
- Profile: full name, email address, username and a password you choose to unlock the app on your device. This “account” is local and is never sent to us. We cannot recover the password for you.
- Profile photo, if you add one.
- Work data: shifts, dates and times, shift types and colors, pay rates, tax rates, notes and earnings calculations.
- Attachments: photos or documents you attach to shifts.
- Settings and preferences, such as theme and first day of the week.
We do not receive, see or have access to any of this information.
2. Device permissions
The app asks for these permissions. You can decline or change them later in iOS Settings, and the rest of the app keeps working.
- Camera: to take a profile photo or a photo to attach to a shift.
- Photo Library (read and add): to pick images for your profile or shifts, and to save images when you ask the app to.
- Bluetooth: to connect to nearby printers when you print reports.
- Motion & Fitness: the advertising SDK may request this. The app itself does not use motion data.
The app does not access your contacts, precise location, health data or microphone.
3. Backups, exports and sharing
You can create a backup file (a .zip) and export or print reports (PDF). These files are saved on your device. If you choose to share them (for example through the iOS share sheet, Files, email or a printer), they go only where you send them. Restoring a backup reads a file you pick on your device. We do not receive backup files.
4. Third-party services
Google AdMob (advertising)
The free version of the app shows banner ads through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. To serve and measure ads and prevent fraud, Google may collect:
- device identifiers, such as the Identifier for Vendors and, only if you allow tracking, the Advertising Identifier (IDFA)
- IP address, from which an approximate location may be inferred
- device model, operating system, language and app version
- ad interaction data, such as ad views and taps
Apple’s SKAdNetwork is used for privacy-preserving ad attribution. To learn how Google uses this information, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. You can limit ad tracking under iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and reset or limit personalized ads under Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising.
Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting)
If the app crashes or hits a serious error, Firebase Crashlytics (Google) collects a crash report so we can fix bugs. The report contains:
- the stack trace and error details
- device model, OS version, app version, orientation, free memory and disk space
- a random Crashlytics installation identifier and the time of the crash
Crash reports do not include your shifts, earnings, profile or photos. See the Firebase privacy information.
App Store ratings and links
The app may ask you to rate it, which opens the App Store. The app may also open links to this website or to your email app. These are handled by Apple and by those services under their own privacy policies.
5. How we use information
Data on your device is used only to run app features. Data collected by Google services is used to show ads, which fund the free app, and to diagnose crashes and improve stability. We do not use your data for any other purpose and we do not sell it.
6. Data retention and deletion
- On your device: your data stays until you delete it. In the app, go to Settings > Delete Account to erase your profile, shifts, attachments, backups and preferences. Deleting the app also removes its data from your device. Backup files you exported elsewhere must be deleted by you.
- Google services: Crashlytics keeps crash reports for a limited period (currently 90 days). AdMob data is retained under Google’s policies.
7. Children
Lyt WorkShift is meant for working adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Your rights
Because we do not hold your app data, you control it directly on your device. Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or US state privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, delete or object to processing of personal data. For data held by Google, use Google’s tools linked above. For any other request, contact us.
9. Security
Your data is stored in the app’s private storage, which iOS protects with your device passcode. Please keep your device secure and up to date. No storage method is 100% secure.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when app features or third-party services change. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
